Currently Professor of Horn at Chicago's Roosevelt University and adjunct Professor at Indiana University's renowned Jacobs School of Music, Dale Clevenger had held an adjunct professorship at Northwestern University's School of Music for 27 years. As a result of the Chicago Symphony brass tradition, Chicago became a center for brass students from throughout the world, says Clevenger.
He has countless former and current students who are in principal or major horn positions with virtually all American orchestras and many throughout Europe, Asia and Australia. Clevenger continues to teach privately.
He has led master classes and workshops at numerous music festivals including the Jerusalem International Chamber Music Festival, Japan's Affinis Music Festival, the Sante Fe Music Festival, Marrowstone Music Festival, and the Florida Music Festival. Under Claudio Abbado, he worked with the European Community Youth Orchestra and the International Horn Society.
Later in 2011, he will lead master classes in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan.
